During the celebration this Monday of the XVIII Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), the representation of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis recognized the role of the alliance in the life of the people and the development of democracy, trade and sovereignty of its member countries.

The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, said this Monday, during his speech at the XVIII Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), that the unilateral sanctionsof the United States against Venezuela not only affect the people, but also harm economic and social collaboration between brother peoples.

“We returned to ALBA-TCP and now we reaffirm our commitment to its principles of solidarity, cooperation, complementarity, mutual respect for the sovereignty of our countries, justice, equity, respect for cultural diversity, and harmony with nature.”

In the celebration of its 16th anniversary, this Monday the XVIII Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) will take place under the telematic modality, with the participation of President Nicolás Maduro and other heads of state and government of all member countries.

The president of the Bank of Alba (Banalba) and Vice-minister for the Caribbean of the People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Raúl Li Causi, offering this Friday a balance of the annual management of the multilateral financial entity, affirmed that despite the difficult circumstances generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, Banalba “continues to generate profits that are reinvested in different socio-productive projects in the same region.”

This Friday, the Vice-minister for Multilateral Issues of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Alexander Yánez, chaired the telematic coordination meeting on Climate Change with the countries of the ALBA-TCP Group before the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC ).
