ALBA-TCP countries vote in favor of resolution granting more rights to Palestine at the United Nations

Caracas, May 10, 2024.- The 10 Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) voted in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution that grants more rights to Palestine in the United Nations and requests the Security Council to incorporate this sister country as a full member.

Jorge Arreaza, Executive Secretary of the Alliance, informed this, expressing that the regional bloc has repeatedly condemned the genocide against the Palestinian people.

“Our Bolivarian Alliance has repeatedly condemned the genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, demanding an immediate ceasefire and calling for the right to the existence of a sovereign Palestinian State”, Arreaza reaffirmed it via his X account.

Over 30,000 Palestinians have died since the beginning of the conflict, 124 of them in the last day, according to the Ministry of Health of that nation, which has detailed in a statement released on its Facebook account that “the result of the Israeli aggression amounts to 71,920 wounded”.
