25th ALBA-TCP Political Council | Bolivia advocates for unity as a political strategy for the defense of the peoples

Caracas, March 29, 2025 – The Plurinational State of Bolivia, through the voice of its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Celinda Sosa, emphasized at the 25th Meeting of the Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) the need to continue fighting for justice and the integration of our peoples at this crucial moment in world history.

“Today, we will outline a political roadmap to strengthen the pillars of the Alliance and establish a common agenda for the defense of human rights,” Sosa stated from the Casa Amarilla ‘Antonio José de Sucre’ in Caracas.

Bolivia’s Foreign Minister added: “We are convinced that solidarity and unity among our nations are a necessary political strategy (…) We will continue denouncing impunity, as well as the attacks by Israel against the Palestinian people.”

Sosa emphasized that the peace demanded by the Global South is intrinsically linked to the dignity of human beings. She also firmly rejected, on behalf of the Bolivian government, the unilateral measures imposed against the Republics of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.

She underscored: “If there is a place from which we must respond to the threats looming over us, it is through the integration of Our America. That is why it is essential for this Council to support the initiatives of each member of the Alliance. We must consolidate integration to position ourselves as a force in international arenas.”
