President Maduro participates in the “Gathering for a World Social Alternative”

Caracas.- The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, participates in the meeting called “World Social Alternative” held by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty.

The Head of State arrived accompanied by Cilia Flores, First Combatant of the Republic and Deputy of the National Assembly and the ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary, Jorge Arreaza.

He was also welcomed by social leaders Evo Morales (Bolivia), Manuel Zelaya (Honduras), Joao Pedro Stédile, representing the Brazil’s Landless Workers Movement, and Llanisca Lugo, representing the ALBA Movimientos, from Cuba.

Among the speakers were Atilio Borón (Argentina), Irene León (Ecuador), Rania Khalek (USA/Lebanon), Juan Carlos Monedero (Spain), Alina Duarte (Mexico); Messilene Gorete (Brazil).

The event was held at the conference room of the Meliá Caracas hotel, which began on Thursday and was attended by 500 national and international guests.
