Venezuela denounces before the international community attempted coup d’état promoted by the US

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounces once again before the international community, the attempt of the Government of the United States to carry out a coup d’état against the Constitutional and Democratic Government of President Nicolás Maduro, by promoting the non-recognition of the legitimate and democratic institutions of the Venezuelan State.

In recent days, spokespersons for the U.S. Government have unleashed a series of hostile actions stemming from falsities intended to manipulate truth, with the purpose of shattering the institutional stability and peace of Venezuela. As if it was not enough with pretending to grant selective validity to the institutions of Venezuela’s Public Power, it has also resorted to the tutelage of subordinate governments in the region, and it has dictated orders to deepen its harassment and blockade against the Venezuelan people.

This conduct, in violation of International Law, is not at all new. Declassified documents, testimony from officials and journalistic research, have shown how since 2002 the U.S. Governments have dedicated themselves to promoting, supporting, and financing violent actions outside of the Venezuelan Constitution and laws, with the objective of generating a forceful regime change, that allows them to regain control over the energy and mineral resources that exclusively belong to the People of Venezuela, and thus curtail the march of the Bolivarian Revolution.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its rejection and reiterates its denunciation against this new phase of the interventionist plan and reminds the supremacist elite that governs the United States, that there is no imperialist action that can succeed before the libertarian will of a sovereign and independent people such as that of Venezuela.
