ALBA-TCP expresses solidarity with president Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva and reiterates its condemnation of the massacre in Palestine

The member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) express their solidarity with the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who was declared persona non grata in Israel for demonstrating against the genocide in the Gaza Strip and calling for a ceasefire.

President of Brazil Lula da Silva is a leader of his country as well as a leader of Our America, a true defender of human rights, the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter, international law and respect for the self-determination of peoples.

The Alliance has warned of the danger that the situation in Palestine represents for regional peace and stability, and therefore, in line with its principles, demands a just and definitive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through dialogue, based on a two-State solution, allowing Palestine to exercise its right to self-determination as an independent and sovereign State, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the pre-1967 borders.

Likewise, it reiterates its call to the international community demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, a halt to the massacre as well as accountability for crimes against humanity.
