ALBA-TCP Repidates misapropiation of venezuelan aircraft hijacked in Argentina in 2022

ALBA-TCP

The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) reiterate their strong repudiation of the actions intended to perpetrate the theft of the Boeing 747 aircraft owned by Empresa de Transporte Aerocargo del Sur (EMTRASUR), a subsidiary of the Venezuelan airline CONVIASA, hijacked in Argentina since 2022.

These actions flagrantly violate the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the United Nations Charter and other existing agreements related to international law.

The ALBA-TCP once again joins the demand of the people and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and supports the legal, diplomatic and political actions that Venezuelan institutions have undertaken to prevent the illegal appropriation of its assets.

This aggression is another consequence of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the government of the United States that threaten the sovereignty of Venezuela and violate the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and International Law.

ALBA-TCP regrets that the Government of Argentina offers itself for such practices that violate sovereignty and the principle of non-interference and once again calls on the international community to denounce this situation.
