The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) congratulate the people and institutions of the Republic of Nicaragua for the democratic day on the occasion of the “Victorious Elections Caribbean 2024” held on March 3, in which the 180 members of the regional councils were elected: 45 councilmen and councilwomen of the autonomous region North Caribbean Coast and the 45 councilmen and councilwomen of the autonomous region South Caribbean Coast, being the first time that alternates were elected.

The Bolivarian Alliance highlights the firm democratic vocation of the Nicaraguan people, in which peace and transparency prevailed and expresses its wish for success to continue advancing in the process of economic and social transformations based on inclusion, justice and equity.

The Bolivarian Alliance highlights the results obtained by the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN in Spanish) and reiterates its congratulations to the people and the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua for the electoral contest.
