Concerned about the serious situation occurring in the Republic of Ecuador, the Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) strongly condemn the acts of violence by organized crime groups threatening the peace and tranquility of Ecuador.

ALBA-TCP expresses its solidarity with the Ecuadorian people and government, regrets the loss of human lives and supports all actions taken to restore order in the country within the framework of the rule of law.

The Alliance, in accordance with its principles, reiterates its strongest condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
