ALBA-TCP rejects and condemns U.S. actions against Venezuela

ALBA-TCP

The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) reject and condemn the press statement made by the U.S. Department of State on January 30, 2024, which represents a direct threat against the sovereignty and political and economic stability of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The United States of America, who have been responsible for the greatest violations of Human Rights in the world, as well as for the darkest processes of political destabilization in our region, have no morality whatsoever to threaten a free and sovereign State such as Venezuela, which has been an example of participative democracy in our region for the last 25 years.

The Alliance demands the immediate and unconditional cessation of all illegal sanctions against the Venezuelan people, who have fought an epic battle for peace through political dialogue, even amidst disproportionate aggressions against their institutions.

ALBA-TCP reaffirms its commitment to the defense of national sovereignty without foreign interference and calls once again on the international community to condemn this attack.
