ALBA-TCP expresses its support to the people and government of Cuba in light of the acquittal of terrorist who attacked cuban Embassy in Washington

ALBA-TCP

The member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) express their support to the people and government of the Republic of Cuba in light of the acquittal of the terrorist who attacked with a firearm the Diplomatic Mission of Cuba in Washington in the early morning of April 30, 2020.

The attack perpetrated by Alexander Alazo Baró, who confessed his true intentions, which included not only material losses, but even the murder of human beings, was a clear terrorist act, that has been underestimated under the complicity of the U.S. authorities, alleging mental problems and, thus, the acquittal of such a serious offense.

The Alliance expresses its concern at this situation, which inevitably becomes a precedent for endorsing other similar actions against any diplomatic headquarters in the U.S. capital with impunity and in flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

ALBA-TCP firmly supports the people and government of Cuba in the defense of their sovereignty and in their just claim against this violent episode, while reiterating its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
