The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) applaud the initiative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States in holding the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit to address the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, to be held on November 11, 2024, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

ALBA-TCP applauds the fact that two such influential and relevant organizations in the Muslim world have taken up the Palestinian cause as the cause of all Muslim peoples, denouncing the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupying power, in open violation of international law, and expressing full solidarity with the Palestinian people, subjected to a process of continued genocide, which seeks to deny their right to exist..

The Bolivarian Alliance endorses the resolution of the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit, the resulting document of which unequivocally condemns the aggressions and crimes against humanity committed by the occupying power, as well as all the necessary actions to put an end to war
and violence, in order to guarantee not only the interests of the Muslim world, but also to protect world peace and stability.

For the Bolivarian Alliance, the Palestinian cause has become its own cause, and in full accordance with the resolution of this Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit, it has joined the global demand to end this growing spiral of genocide against the Palestinian people and supports the legal and political initiatives to achieve a just, lasting and comprehensive peace, based on the creation of two States, allowing the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign
State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital and the return of displaced persons. It also demands that the occupying power be held accountable for its crimes and that real justice be done after more than 75 years of aggression.
