ALBA-TCP denounces judicial coup against Cristina Fernández in Argentina

ALBA-TCP

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) firmly rejects the illegitimate ruling of the Argentine Supreme Court against former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, a political move disguised as a judicial decision, executed by a justice system subordinated to the current power and used for persecution.

This attack is part of the lawfare, a tool of neocolonialism, to proscribe and suppress the popular leaderships that represent our majorities. Cristina Fernández, a recognized leader of the opposition and Peronism, is the target of a strategy to neutralize the person who embodies the feelings of the Argentine people.

Milei’s government, promoter of a model of surrender and subjugation, needs to eliminate all political opposition through judicialization and criminalization, resorting to authoritarian methods typical of dictatorships.

From ALBA-TCP, we denounce this political maneuver that includes institutional violence and media manipulation, and also constitutes an attempt at recolonization and the annulment of popular sovereignty.

Cristina Fernández is not alone. She is accompanied by the history of struggle and a people who have already defeated dictatorships and domination projects. This political persecution will not be able to erase her legacy or prevent the rebirth of a free and sovereign Argentina.

ALBA-TCP reaffirms its solidarity with Cristina Fernandez, the Argentine people and all the popular forces that confront the oligarchic and fascist restoration.
