ALBA-TCP denounces attempted coup and fascist violence in Venezuela

ALBA-TCP

The member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) denounce the attempted coup d’état and the outbreaks of violence in Venezuela, promoted by extreme right-wing forces, disregarding the results of the presidential elections of July 28, 2024.

ALBA-TCP repudiates the brutal campaign of hatred through the imperialist communications campaign and the attacks and acts of vandalism against people, public infrastructure and patriotic symbols, which seek to smear a historic democratic day that took place in a totally peaceful manner, in their attempt to impose intolerance and an agenda different from the expressed will of the Venezuelan people.

The Alliance recognizes the wisdom and ancestral kindness of Venezuelans and their sovereign choice, in democracy, for the path of peace, prosperity, union and brotherhood, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro Moros.

ALBA-TCP expresses its full support to the resilient Venezuelan people committed to peace, as well as to the government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, and denounces to the international community the attempted coup d’état and the disproportionate violence perpetrated by groups that have demonstrated, once again, their irresponsibility and their true intentions, using the same anti-democratic and fascist strategies.
