The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) commemorate the 98th birth anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, an icon of the Cuban and world Revolution, who paved a path of resistance, sovereignty and solidarity for the peoples of the world.

The Latin American and Caribbean nations of ALBA-TCP recall with deep admiration the bright life of a man who proved to be an example of courage and fortitude, bringing to fruition such a powerful cause that he became a beacon and reference for the peoples in their processes of struggle and liberation from capitalist oppression and the expansionist and predatory intentions of imperialism in the twentieth century.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution managed to impact all of humanity with his work and thinking, by placing human beings and their social rights as an exclusive priority over the interests of the ruling elites and corporations, life over war and solidarity over the petty ambitions of the powerful ones. 

The Bolivarian Alliance is proud to be the heroic creation of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, which summarized the purest of their immortal legacies, having as its standards self-determination, cooperation, brotherhood and solidarity among the free peoples of Our America, to march together towards human development and the greatest amount of happiness.
