ALBA-TCP congratulates Cuba after United Nations vote agains the blockade

ALBA-TCP

The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) congratulate the sister Republic of Cuba for the historic vote in the United Nations General Assembly against the illegal and criminal blockade of the United States against this sister country.

The entire world, in an indisputable demonstration, expresses its total repudiation of this inhumane measure of over six decades, which has caused incalculable damage to the well-being of the Cuban people and its economy, which has been the source of family breakups and hundreds of difficulties in the food, health, transportation and other basic services sectors.

The brave Cuban people have been able to overcome obstacles with resilience and dignity and do not yield to Washington’s cruelty.

The ALBA-TCP member countries will continue to raise their voices to demand the United States government to immediately end the illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba, as well as its exclusion from the arbitrary and unilateral list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

ALBA-TCP sends its warm congratulations to the Cuban people and government, led by President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Army General Raúl Castro, confident that the Alliance is moving towards a more just, equitable and democratic world, guided by love and respect for the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean and taking as an example the dignity of the Cuban people.
