The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) strongly condemn the order of a judicial authority of the Argentine Republic to seize the Boeing 747 aircraft owned by Empresa de Transporte Aerocargo del Sur (Emtrasur), a branch of the Venezuelan airline Conviasa, which was hijacked in that country in 2022.

The illegal seizure and confiscation order – consequences of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the government of the United States that threaten the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and violate the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and International Law – demonstrate that not even servility to U.S. imperialism is kept.

ALBA-TCP once again joins the demand of the people and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and supports the legal, diplomatic and political actions taken by the Venezuelan Government to safeguard its assets.
