ALBA-TCP condemns escalating situation in the Middle East

ALBA-TCP

The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) express their absolute condemnation of the dangerous escalation of violence taking place in the Middle East, specifically the attacks perpetrated by the Israeli army in the territory of the Lebanese Republic.

The rampant violence that Israel’s ruling elite has unleashed on the countries around it is unacceptable and inhumane. Almost a year after the beginning of this new wave of systematic genocide against the Palestinian people, the Israeli government is not satisfied with having perpetrated flagrant and systematic violations of the human rights of the Palestinian people and of International Law by mercilessly attacking the civilian population of Gaza, but is also attacking other sovereign states in a constant criminal reprisal, resulting in the death of innocent civilians and colossal destruction.

ALBA-TCP has been warning about the seriousness of the regionalization of the conflict and the need to put an end to the impunity with which Israel behaves. Today there are over 41,431 fatalities in Palestine, more than 100 dead and 400 wounded in Lebanon, in addition to material damage in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria and other countries in the region.

The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance reject the inadmissible impunity with which the State of Israel is acting and ratify the need to take measures within the framework of international law to stop the violence of the Israeli elite, while reaffirming their commitment to peace, tolerance and the sacred respect for life.
