The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) follows with attention the progress made in the negotiations between the Palestinian authorities, the Hamas movement, and the government of Israel, with the mediation of various countries in the region. In this context, it reaffirms that true peace will only be possible when all forms of occupation cease and the historical and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people are fully and unconditionally restored.

ALBA-TCP denounces the genocide perpetrated in Gaza as one of the most serious and shameful crimes in contemporary history. Those responsible for such acts must be held accountable before international justice, as no sustainable peace can be built on impunity or on the denial of the right to self-determination.

The Alliance recognizes the decisive role of mobilization at international level, by Arab and Muslim states, and by the peoples of the South who, with dignity and perseverance, have supported the Palestinian cause. In this regard, it calls the international community to maintain diplomatic and political efforts aimed at guarantee the right of the Palestinian people to an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution.

Faithful to its founding principles to independence, justice, and peace, ALBA-TCP reiterates its firm and permanent solidarity with the Palestinian people and its decision to accompany, in all multilateral forums, the struggle for a just, lasting, and truly humane peace.
