The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) express their solidarity with the Cuban people and government in the wake of Hurricane Rafael.

ALBA-TCP joins the solidarity of the countries of the region to provide the necessary support for the damages caused by this storm.

Likewise, the Alliance accompanies all the efforts of the Cuban government to gradually restore normality to the island. The effects of the climate crisis are a reminder that countries must work together to have an emergency protocol to provide assistance to affected families and collaborate in the restitution of daily life in the countries of the region.

The ALBA-TCP Member States regret the impacts of the increasingly destructive and challenging weather phenomena, and express their solidarity and support for all the efforts of President Miguel Díaz-Canel and his government team to overcome this moment of difficulty.
