Despite the multiple complaints of irregularities that occurred during the second election day in the sister Republic of Ecuador last Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Board of the National Electoral Council of this country denied the five claims presented by the party Revolución Ciudadana, which refer to the
existence of an important number of tally sheets with several inconsistencies.
The Executive Secretariat of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) expresses its strong rejection of this action, which closes and hinders one of the doors to the legal claims process, thus validating the fraud to which the Ecuadorian people were subjected, under a combination of dubious elements and circumstances that were also exposed by international observers and which are far from transparent elections and respectful of the will of the people.
It also calls on the people of Latin America, the Caribbean and the entire world to remain alert to the serious events that took place during the electoral process, which suggest a premeditated and sophisticated electoral fraud without precedent in Ecuador.
In this regard, the ALBA-TCP Executive Secretariat urges the authorities of the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the Contentious Electoral Tribunal (TCE) to carefully and impartially examine the legal claims arising from the unfinished legal process and supports any legal action deemed necessary to
find the truth and respect the decision and the feelings of the Ecuadorian people.
