ALBA-TCP applauds election day in Venezuela

ALBA-TCP

The member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) applaud and congratulate the people and government of the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the resounding success of the legislative and regional elections held this Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The Venezuelan people civically exercised their right to vote to elect the national Legislative Branch, legislative councils and regional governors, in a day characterized by peace and citizen participation.

Despite the continued international aggression against the Venezuelan people and the repeated and erratic calls of the extremist opposition to boycott the elections, more than 6 thousand candidates from 54 political organizations ran for parliamentary seats and regional governments, in a process that resulted in a broad victory of the parties of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro and the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution.

In Venezuela, 32 electoral processes have been successfully carried out in the 25 years of the Bolivarian Revolution. Therefore, ALBA recognizes in this new election the profound democratic and sovereign nature of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and extends its congratulations to the candidates of all political parties who participated in such an important electoral contest.
