The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) expresses its full support and solidarity to the people and the Government of the Republic of Cuba before the ongoing discrediting campaigns against the Cuban Government and the attempts to provoke a social outbreak to justify an external intervention, organized and financed by the government of the United States of America, which in the current COVID-19 pandemic has intensified the criminal and inhuman policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade.
The Alliance strongly rejects any attempts of political destabilization against Cuba and demands the immediate lifting of all unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. against Cuba. We categorically and firmly denounce the violence promoted and carried out by criminal elements, including attacks on the people and the public security forces.
ALBA-TCP reiterates its gratitude for the contribution of the Republic of Cuba to the response to the pandemic and praises the international medical cooperation that Cuba offers in dozens of countries and which has benefited millions of people, thus being an example of international solidarity.
