The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) categorically rejects the new action of the U.S. Department of State, designating the inexistant “Cartel de los Soles” as “terrorist organization” and intending to falsely link it to the Venezuelan State, to justify an aggression against the South American country and force change of government.

This operation, based on a grotesque lie, is an erratic political maneuver that could lead the U.S. government to commit even more serious mistakes, capable to create undesirable scenarios.

The U.S. policy of aggressions and threats against the sister Venezuelan nation has been overwhelmingly and almost unanimously rejected by the international community, as well as by broad sectors of world public opinion, including the majority of the U.S people, who have spoken out in favor of peace and against new interventionist adventures.

ALBA urges the United States government to cease its policy of aggression against our region, and in particular, against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as such actions promote instability, falsehoods and unnecessary risks to the regional coexistence.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) reaffirms its unwavering Support to the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, led by President Nicolás Maduro Moros and reiterates its commitment to truth, peace and the sovereignty of the peoples.
