The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) condemn the brutal repression of migrants in Los Angeles for defending their rights and demanding an end to Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in recent weeks.

ALBA denounces the serious police and social crisis that the United States is currently experiencing, which has led to raids, immigration detentions, arrests in schools and churches which are completely illegal and in blatant violation of fundamental rights.

The Bolivarian Alliance reaffirms its stance of rejection of the criminalization of migrants, as well as its strict and unwavering defense of the dignity of migrants, regardless of nationality, culture, race or gender, as expressed in the Special Declaration for the Dignity of Migrants, on February 3, 2025 and in accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the norms of International Law.
