25th ALBA-TCP Political Council | Cuba rejects deportations and cruel treatment of Venezuelans by the U.S.

Caracas, March 29, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, stated this Saturday that his country rejects the deportations and cruel treatment of Venezuelans by the United States.

During the 25th Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP), held at Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre in Caracas, Venezuela, he emphasized that this meeting is taking place at a critical moment.

“Precisely at a time when the United States is seeking to destabilize the region. We reject the abduction of Venezuelan migrants because it is a heinous act and constitutes cruel and inhumane treatment. Therefore, we stress the need to continue honoring the three existing migration agreements,” he stated.

He explained that it is essential to call upon the entire region to work decisively to defend peace and regional security.

“The United States resorts to using fugitive economic and commercial tools whose effects will negatively impact the people. It engages in blackmail, implements unilateral coercive measures that violate international law, threatens natural resources, and national relations are under threat. Those who do not align with the imperial plan are subjected to persecution,” he asserted.

He emphasized that Latin America and the Caribbean must continue to be a zone of peace.

“We have the commitment and duty to maintain a system based on peace and justice, free from threats. We must work to ensure that the upcoming ninth summit in Honduras is founded on the principle of defending unity,” he added.
