ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary held meetings with Cuban Authorities

Havana, January 29, 2025 – After participating on Tuesday in the inauguration of the 6th International Conference for World Balance in Havana, Cuba, the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, carried out a broad and productive work agenda in the largest island of the Antilles.

First, he held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the island, Josefina Vidal, to whom he presented a gift on behalf of the Alliance.

“We reviewed the progress achieved and the next steps to take in the implementation of the 2030 Strategic Agenda to reinvigorate the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America,” Vidal stated on her account on X.

Similarly, Arreaza met with the Minister of Communications of the Republic of Cuba, Mayra Arevich Marín, with whom he discussed artificial intelligence, among other essential topics aimed at strengthening the communicational and informational sovereignty of the peoples.

From January 28 to 31, Havana is the epicenter of the 6th International Conference for World Balance, convened by the Cuban Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the José Martí Project of World Solidarity.
