Caracas, January 11, 2025. Once again, Venezuela becomes the epicenter of geopolitics, defending the sovereignty and self-determination of peoples, by closing the International Anti-Fascist Festival for a New World at Centro de Convenciones Simón Bolívar in La Carlota, Miranda state.
The Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, led this event, reaffirming the unionist perspective of governments and peoples worldwide, raising a united voice based on respect, dialogue, friendship, and the design of common plans that benefit all equally, within the context of the diversity of nations.
For this international meeting, over 2,000 national and international guests, including leaders, youth, workers, and peasants, with delegates from more than 100 countries, attended following a call inviting political parties and social movements from the country and various nations worldwide to build a network of concrete actions to confront fascism globally.
This event was vibrant with a beautiful cultural exhibition and filled with emotion with the significant Declaration of support for the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
The festival was inaugurated last Thursday, beginning with a speech by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, who asserted that “the Venezuelan people continue to make history against fascism, against colonialism, against imperialism.”
In this context, she stated that “this space, which was born in September in Caracas, must be deepened (…) It is about weaving the networks summoned by this era, where fascism seeks to take over humanity and our planet. This is the time that humanity has called to unite and fight against fascism. There is no tomorrow.”
