Caracas, December 14, 2024 – The Advisor to the President of Palestine for International Affairs and Special Envoy of the State of Palestine, Riad Malki, highlighted during the 24th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) the shared commitment of member nations to the defense of justice, sovereignty, and dignity.
Malki, a special guest at the meeting, emphasized that the Bolivarian Alliance represents much more than a mere political or economic alliance.
“ALBA is a manifestation of the indomitable human spirit and a commitment to the universal principles of solidarity and resistance against oppression,” he affirmed.
He highlighted that ALBA’s principles deeply resonate with the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom, justice, self-determination, and the end of colonial occupation.
“Countries like Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, and Nicaragua have taken courageous stances by refusing to establish diplomatic relations with Israel as long as the occupation persists. These actions, rooted in international law and moral clarity, send a powerful message to the world: justice and accountability are non-negotiable.”
It is worth noting that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros designated Palestine as a brother nation and a permanent guest of ALBA-TCP.
