Caracas, Aug. 22 (AVN) – The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ in Spanish) certified the resultsannounced by the National Electoral Branch (CNE in Spanish) regarding the July 28 elections, in whichNicolás Maduro was elected President of the Republic for the 2025-2031 constitutional term.
“The report prepared by highly qualified and suitablenational and international experts, who ensured the highest level of technical-legal excellence,indisputably certified the audited electoral material and validated the results on July 28 presidentialelection issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE), where Nicolás Maduro was elected,” confirmed the President of the TSJ, CarysliaRodríguez, from the headquarters of the SupremeCourt in Caracas.
In this way, she reaffirmed that the audit resultsconfirm Nicolás Maduro as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the 2025-2031 constitutional term. At the same time, she urged the CNE to publish the final results of the electoral process in the Electoral Gazette, as established bythe Electoral Processes Law.
She noted that all electoral material submitted by the CNE and political parties will be safeguarded by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
Additionally, the judge mentioned the absence of the opposition former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia throughout the proceedings before the Supreme Court, thereby placing him in contempt.
The Supreme Court announced this Thursday the results of the thorough and exhaustive auditingactions that began on August 5, to issue the definitive ruling on the electoral dispute filed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
