Caracas, August 10. AVN.- The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, through Case No. AA70-E-2024-000034 published this Saturday, announced that the expert examination initiated on August 5 continues in order to issue a final ruling on the electoral dispute filed, which will be res judicataand unappealable.
This expert examination is based on all the electoral material with probative value submitted by the Electoral Branch and 33 of the 38 politicalorganizations summoned to the hearings held on August 7, 8, and 9.
Similarly, the expert examination will address the massive cyberattack that affected the Venezuelanelectoral system on July 28, the day of the presidential elections.
The Supreme Court clearly states in its report thatformer candidate Edmundo González Urrutia did notcomply with the summons and consequently did notsubmit vote tallies, lists of witnesses, or any electoral materials.
It also highlights that the representatives of formercandidate González Urrutia, members of the Democratic Unity Platform Alliance, did not submitany electoral materials and argued that they did notpossess any documentation related to the process, such as vote tallies and lists of witnesses.
They also indicated that they did not participate in the transportation or safeguarding of electoral materials, and mentioned that the organization ‘SUMATE’ was part of the Alliance’s technical advisory team.
Regarding the uploading of the alleged vote tallies on the websitewww.resultadospresidencialesvenezuela2024.com, they claimed to be unaware of who published them, an action that is currently being investigated by the Public Ministry.
In this context, they quoted Prosecutor General TarekWilliam Saab, who announced that he had orderedan investigation to hold accountability for the allegedcommission of the following crimes: usurpation of official functions, forgery of public documents, incitement to disobey the law, computer crimes, conspiracy to commit a crime, and conspiracy, due to the distress caused among the population.
The case file also notes that the politicalorganizations ‘Alianza al Lápiz’ and ‘Movimiento Centrados Para la Gente’, as well as formercandidates Antonio Ecarri and Enrique Márquez, didnot submit the requested electoral materials.
In the document released this Saturday, itemphasizes that the Chamber will be staffed with highly qualified personnel, employing the highesttechnical standards to ensure that conflicts are resolved in a sovereign and just manner.
