Caracas, April 24, 2024.- Grenada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, Joseph Andall, called for mutual assistance and condemned the injustices affecting the peoples of Latin America and the world.
During the 23rd Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) held in Caracas, Venezuela, Andall said that “the so-called civilized world continues to clearly show its hypocrisy” in the face of intolerable crimes such as the genocide in Palestine and the intervention in Haiti.
“In the end, it is only mutual respect and empathy for common issues that can strengthen the multilateral space and give us a better position to face global challenges,” he said.
The minister took the opportunity to condemn the illegal blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and demanded the removal of that sister nation from the unilateral list of countries that allegedly support terrorism.

Regarding the situation in Palestine, he described the Israeli occupation as “a stain on the conscience of mankind”.
“One of the most advanced machineries is on one side and, on the other, civilians are dying and as always we only see hypocrisy,” lamented Andall, who called on the peoples of the world to lobby for their governments to condemn these attacks. “We are a small country, but we understand the principles of humanity,” he added.
On the other hand, he stressed the importance of ALBA as a platform to address common challenges and strengthen regional unity.
Andall praised the role of the Bolivarian countries in promoting integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, and highlighted how the exchange of knowledge and experiences among members offers unique opportunities for technical cooperation.
