“We returned to ALBA-TCP and now we reaffirm our commitment to its principles of solidarity, cooperation, complementarity, mutual respect for the sovereignty of our countries, justice, equity, respect for cultural diversity, and harmony with nature.”

This was stated by the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, during the celebration of the XVIII Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), carried out electronically before the scene of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During his speech, the Bolivian president stated that in the face of the “continuous reactionary sieges” the deepening of the alliance was imperative, not as an option, but as an urgent necessity.

He also commented that the current health, environmental and economic crisis facing the whole world -and especially the region- could only be overcome with the awareness of the peoples, their solidarity and economic, social and political complementarity.

President Arce ended his speech by reiterating the principle that “a better world is possible and it is in our hands to think about it and build it.”

“Jallalla integration, Jallalla dignified and sovereign peoples! Jallalla ALBA-TCP!” He exclaimed.
